Health and Fitness Background by Sheryl Beland:

I've always been athletic. While in school I participated in many sports. After high school I began working out at various gyms. My workouts consisted of a cardio workout and a variety of floor exercises. (without weights). It was only about 8-10 years ago that I started incorporating weights into my workout.

I have been an aerobic instructor now for 7 years, and I know what a difference weights make during training. Weights have helped re-shape my body. Now, I have definition in my arms and legs. Working with weights has also helped me maintain leaner muscle mass. I still have goals that I am trying to attain. In the last 4 years, I have lowered my percentage of body fat by approx. 4%. My ultimate goal is to lower my body fat by an additional 4%. This will help give more definition to my abs.
