Quick Overview

DAVE PROWSE, M.B.E.

With what can only be perfect timing, Dave Prowse's two volume biography will be most welcome by Sci Fi and Star Wars fans world-wide.

Like he author, the books are larger than most.  Huge in fact.  Two massive volumes the result of six years preparation, detailing the fascinating and fantastic life story of the man most famed as the one and only original Darth Vader  David Prowse IS Darth Vader.

David's career spanning fifty years, details triumph over adversity.  From invalid to World winning weightlifter, competitive bodybuilder, to T.V. and eventually movie star fame.  Dave's story is inspirational, educational and extremely funny and entertaining.  A story you just have to read and enjoy.

Published in two volumes.  Volume one is extensively illustrated.  It consists of thirty three chapters, enlightening the reader into the complexities of movie making, what goes on both in front and behind the scenes and cameras, plus his equally successful, if at times perilous career in physical culture.  For example

training one to one his most famous pupil possibly, the late Christopher Reeves whom Davie Prowse muscled up to make Reeves able to take on the role of  Superman.

Dave a contemporary and personal fried of such celebrated bodybuilders as Arnold Schwarzeneggar, also found time to work, hard and long for charities, raising huge sums for his favourite causes.  If this was not enough, his alter ego The Green Cross man and his code, is credited with saving  thousands of children's lives by avoiding road accidents using the code.

Movie and of course Star War fans will love the chapters devoted to their subject, none knows it better than the ultimate villain Darth Vader.

Volume two just as mighty, may be more so, is a visible delight.  Basically a photo album of David and associated celebrities.  Super colour photos of bodybuilders movie stars, (with emphasis on Star Wars), in fact almost a Who's Who of movie and muscle.  Truly a unique archive and delight to collectors.
